(As a note, some examples of her personality are from later chapters, but still apply to her for prior chapters.)
+ Bubbly and outgoing, a social butterfly! Hagakure's biggest trait is her want to be in the middle of fun. Whether it's showing off each other's rooms, dressing up, or having a nice sleepover or night with the girls. There are plenty of lovely little images out there of Hagakure enjoying the company of her friends, which is just where she loves to be. And if there's someone around who seems sad or who is struggling to enter a social group, you can bet she's the type to help them join in!
+ Compassionate and kind, an ideal hero trait! She is often worrying for her fellow classmates, especially when they appear more 'down' or 'depressed'. She's the kind of girl who is the first to recommend some sort of activity for everyone to partake in, especially something like shopping (teenagers, you know) or cheering for their teams as cheerleaders. In future chapters, she's willing to put aside a classmate's betrayal, still caring deeply for their wellbeing despite it all. And in fact, she had been aware due to noticing that the classmate had not smiled once. A hero should be kind and ready to help their own!
+ Determined and eager, cooperative, observant. Hagakure is one of the students you can count on to be extremely useful in battle as a support! Especially in the case with Yuga in later chapters, when she's able to double-team and use his concentrated laser powers in a way that caused a stronger attack! She doesn't back down, especially when taught well by her teachers. She's brimming with energy, but more than that, she's able to be extremely observant due to the fact that people can't always tell she's listening in or studying them.
- Can be oblivious and airheaded, a touch gullible. Hagakure can be a pretty ridiculous at times, especially when it comes to her invisibility. She often presents her obliviousness in comedic scenarios in the manga, such as getting embarrassed of her nudity in front of someone else (when they can't see her at all). She doesn't always seem to recognize when others aren't on the same page, saying things that makes more sense to her than anyone else around her (especially with regard to things like looking 'okay' for a camera, or not understanding everyone's bafflement at her 'normal' family photos with her invisible parents). Actually, that leads to-
- Fluctuating self-confidence. Over-invested in appearance, or lack thereof. Hagakure gives the aura of someone who struggles with her identity a lot. As someone who has never been 'in the spotlight' and has always felt as invisible as she literally is, she seems to compensate a lot with bright, cute outfits and colors, leaning heavily on the physicality of her invisibility, and even putting a lot of her identity into her state of being (as seen in a chapter where she admits that being invisible was her primary 'thing'). With it smacks a feeling of worry that she will be left behind as someone nobody can truly 'see'.
- Overly emotional at times, overly invested — too nice. Being emotional is great! Nothing wrong with that. But sometimes, some of us have a harder time reigning it in. When she feels, she feels BIG. Big joy, big excitement, big upsettedness. When she had helped uncover the spy in their class, she is so overcome with emotion that she has to lean on and cry against Ojiro. Her sweet and caring nature can make for decent grounds for manipulation in the right hands, and she would attempt heroism to save someone who she may even know would absolutely throw her under a bus.
Powers/Abilities: Invisibility Quirk! Unless influenced by an outside source, some form of magic, or seen through a heat field or night-vision, Hagakure is pretty much completely invisible to the normal human eye. This combined with training in melee combat allows for additional skill in surprise attacks. Her current primary move is Warp Refraction*, which allows her to warp the sunlight (or any fairly strong light) around her into a bright flash that can temporarily blind people around her. This takes a bit more energy but can be pretty effective when making a quick escape or new attack!
(*Her invisibility 'science' is that the light around her warps, causing her invisibility, and therefore can be manipulated by Hagakure.)
Over time, she will be working to try and perfect part of her Warp Refraction that allows her to manipulate light more intricately and aim it as needed to blind and/or burn something in her general area. As of arriving, she will not have honed this ability, and will need to work on it.
Regret: She regrets not being more physically strong, so that she can keep up with and help her classmates more frequently — and be a better hero in the process.
Suitability: She's extremely good at espionage, which is something the crew has to utilize often! Being able to keep undercover and having a strong focus on her tasks would make her a useful member of the team, but more than that, she's already very used to teams and working as a group due to her time with U.A. and her continued training as a hero. Also, this crew could use some positivity and cheerleading. Just saying.
Inventory: Some cute outfits and plushies in the item drops. And if it's kosher with the mods, I would like her to have some special hero outfits that are made from her hair (much like Mirio's outfit in MHA, which allows him to not be totally naked when he phases through solid material). Basically, I'm trying not to have a 16-year-old girl wandering around naked in this game, and she would probably appreciate a cute superhero singlet. :')
